Right now I'm reading The Catcher in the Rye, since everyone says good things about it (and I'm not surprised, it's ace). I don't really have a favourite book though.

If you don't have a favourite, I'm pretty sure Catcher will be as soon as your done with it :3 It's really good.

Just thought I'd say something different besides my usual Asimov/Stephen R. Donaldson/early S. King/historical novels mantra.

A few favorite series, that consist of 3 or more short novels:

The Well of Souls series by Jack L. Chalker
The Pip & Flinx series by Alan Dean Foster
Icerigger trilogy by Alan Dean Foster
Indigo series by Lousie Cooper
Time Master Trilogy by Louise Cooper

And one of Foster's stand-alone books, Sentenced To Prism. For some reason I really like this short novel. Azure the 'glass centipede' is a great character.

Good book
Good series, but hard to find time with Guild Wars to actually want to read it.

If you want something histerical thats a bio, read "If Chins Could Kill" by Bruce Campbell. He's an underground b-movie actor if you didn't know. Quiet popular, and king of the one liners ("Hail to the king, baby").

You know, I have that, but I never really got into it. I haven't read it yet to be hoenst. It's sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I dunno if it can be that great without Wolf though... It was sad when he went :*/

My absolute favorite books are the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King. I flew throught the first 4 books in about one month and then had to wait patiently for the next 3 to be released. It was by far one of the most interesting things i've ever read, and the 7th book was by far the best of the whole series.

Dude, I got one of my friends that hates reading to read Sentenced to Prism, and now he is an avid reader. That book is a classic IMO. Pip & Flinx kick ass as well.

Another awesome read that I recommend to anyone that likes fantasy and doesn't want to get into a huge chain (Jordan anyone? lol) is The Waterborn by J. Gregory Keyes and it's sequel Blackgod.

Talisman overall wasn't superb, doesn't re-read all that well IMO, but it was a good 1st read...and had Wolf....

Not sure of the english title as I may have said, I read it in French.. in fact, I tried to read it few months ago, just to see if I would read more Stephen King again, I was so disapointed that I decided not

Yesterday I went to a store and found a used copy of ... Le Fléau (The Stand)... so I decided to give another go to Stephen King, we'll see what will come out

After correctly doing a search I found this thread
So I'll post my words here, and not start one instead.

I'm almost done with Inkspell by Cornelia Funke(sequal to Inkheart), and on my 20th something read through of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams (RIP).
Just looking to see what ya'll are reading. So, what book(s) are you reading at the moment?
